A Plainview man faces up to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography.

Jose Francisco Madrigal pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography before U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings on Friday.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, the 43-year-old Madrigal took a digital camera and aimed it through a hole in a bathroom wall. He then took sexually explicit videos of a female child taking a shower.

Madrigal, who is currently on bond, faces no less than 15 years or more than 30 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, and a lifetime of supervised release.

Sentencing will take place following the completion of a presentence investigation report.
