A motorcycle driver has passed away from injuries sustained during an accident in Lubbock County late Sunday afternoon.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred Nov. 20 after the motorcycle driver, 38-year-old Justin Rodgers, lost control while driving on FM 179. The Plainview resident was thrown from his motorcycle. Reports say that Rodgers was not wearing a helmet.

According to Everything Lubbock, Rodgers was transported to University Medical Center. He later died of his injuries.
