Patrick Svitek Says Pressure Will Continue On Sanctuary Cities Officials [INTERVIEW]

Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Patrick Svitek from the Texas Tribune appeared on the show to talk about issues in front of the 85th Texas Legislature.

Svitek and Hasty's discussion included the controversial subjects of 'sanctuary cities' and President Trump's border wall, as well as Texas Governor Greg Abbott's standoff with Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez over her county's policy.

While talking about Governor Abbott's firm stance on the issue of sanctuary cities Svitek said,

He's trying to apply maximum pressure to these local officials to get them to back down from these policies, that again, he views as not adequately complying with or not adequately following the orders of federal immigration officials.
