Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Patrick Svitek from the Texas Tribune joined the show to discuss the latest from the 85th Texas Legislature.

Svitek and Hasty talked about the status of 'sanctuary cities' legislation, the Texas 'bathroom bill', Governor Greg Abbott's priority items including ethics reform, and the possibility of a special session being called.

When asked by Hasty about the possibility of litigation over anti-sanctuary cities legislation, Svitek said,

I think there's a widespread expectation that this is going to be immediately subject to litigation, that was obviously one of the messages that we heard from Democrats...That, I think, is where the opposition's attention is turning to as soon as the Governor signs this into law.
