[Original story] Patrick Crawford, a meteorologist for KCEN in Waco, was shot multiple times Wednesday morning (Dec 17) in the station's parking lot.

According to Department of Public Safety Trooper D.L. Wilson, a male suspect shot Crawford multiple times. Despite being severely wounded, Crawford drove away from the shooter and flagged down a nearby construction worker for assistance.

"[Crawford] was getting into his car this morning after leaving the building and the subject walked up to him and they had a confrontation," said Wilson [quote via ABC News].

Wilson added that police are not yet certain if the shooting was random or if Crawford knows the man.

Police are looking for a white man with a receding hairline, 30 to 35 years old, wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Crawford is currently in surgery at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple.
