Overton Hotel to Illuminate Double T to Welcome Back Texas Tech Students

Facebook

A sizable tribute to Texas Tech will be illuminated this weekend by an area hotel.

The Overton Hotel and Conference Center will light up the largest “Double T” in Lubbock by lighting windows that face the Tech campus this Friday and Saturday.

“The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce always encourages local businesses to welcome back students during this time of year,” said Marcie Reno, Overton Hotel and Conference Center director of sales and marketing. “We started this tradition four years ago, and every year, we have a huge response.”

The “Double T” can be viewed on the southwest face of the hotel, located at 2322 Mac Davis Lane.

Hotel management advises that the “Double T” is best viewed at night.
