Opinion: Should we be Worried that Less-than Fair-Weather Friends and Enemies are Flexing Military Muscle?

Russia is about to hold the biggest war game since they were known as the Soviet Union.

China held a huge war game just recently.

North Korea was just caught smuggling suspected weapons in a shipment of brown sugar while crossing the Panama Canal.

I know many people will dismiss these occurrences out of hand, and others will say we have no right to complain as we conduct war games too.

The reason it worries me is that these are recent developments, and for quite a few years those that were not good enough friends with the United States to conduct games with us did not do anything on this scale.

It seems that many countries that are statist or have statist leanings are ramping up the saber rattling.

I wonder if they see America as weak and unable to stop them, and if they do feel that way, where will they choose to draw the line.
