Opinion: Atheist Mega-Churches Prove the Religious Nature of Modern Atheism

Recently atheist special interest groups have become more and more enthusiastic in their persecution of established religions.

I am among those that have seen these groups as more dogmatic and religious like, by the characterization of religion these groups provide.

Now I feel even more confident in calling atheism a religion, as it has been reported by the AP that atheist mage-churches are sprouting up.

Atheism needs to be recognized as a religion.

Their persecution of other religions by groups like the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” needs to be placed in the same hate category as any other religious group conduction itself in such behavior.

And, while there is no easy answer to the problem, it needs to be recognized and addressed that ‘secular’ schools are just as religious in nature as any catholic or other religious school.
