Texas Tech football fans can help bring a notable group back to campus.

Fans have the opportunity to bring ESPN College Gameday back to Lubbock, if Texas Tech gets the highest number of votes online.

Voting began this morning, and will run through 11 p.m. May 2nd.

More than 120 schools will be vying in the competition to garner the most votes. Voting can be done at www.GameDayVote.com.

Gameday made its only stop in Lubbock in November of 2008, leaving Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and Chris Fowler to watch Texas Tech defeat No. 1 ranked Texas 39-33.

Tech will open their 2012 football season at home on September 1st against Northwestern State.
