One man has been jailed after reportedly tasing and robbing a person.

On Monday, September 2nd, just before 3:30 a.m., two suspects in a green Ford Explorer pulled up to Larry Flores in the parking lot of the Park Tower Apartments at 27th Street and Avenue Q.

The passenger in the SUV asked for directions, and as Flores approached, the suspect tased him in the neck.

Lubbock Police say that both suspects got out of the vehicle and began hitting Flores in the face. They then took everything from his pockets and left the scene.

Officers identified the vehicle and suspects leaving the scene of the crime as they traveled east on 19th Street. A lengthy vehicle pursuit ensued, which ended at 1500 East Main Street, when the suspects got out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.

Officer Cook and his K-9 Robbie found one of the suspects hiding in tall grass at 1300 East Broadway.

The suspect, 35-year-old Direece Tyrone Wynne, was treated for a dog bite at University Medical Center and then taken to the Lubbock County Jail.

The second suspect is not yet in custody.

Wynne faces charges including Aggravated Robbery, Evading in a Motor Vehicle, and Evading on Foot.
