One Dead Following Lightning-Sparked House Fire in South Lubbock
One person is dead and another injured following a house fire late last night.
The fire began in the 3900 block of 110th Street, and is believed to have started due to a lightning strike.
Six people were in the home when the fire started.
One person, 31-year-old Brennan Chase Teel of Rockwall, Texas, died as a result of the fire. Another person was taken to an area hospital due to smoke inhalation.
Lubbock Firefighters at a nearby station saw smoke coming from the home, and found the home without a 911 call being placed.
