Operation H.O.P.E. is a non-profit organization started by Lubbock surgeon John Thomas.  The F.A.M.I.N.E. banquet is a fund-raiser to help feed the hungry in Haiti.  On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Oliver North gave a preview of the message he will bring to Lubbock.

“I’m going to talk about the generosity of the American people and why what Operation H.O.P.E. is doing is so important to the future of this country,” North said.

“I’m going to come down there and remind the people what extraordinary Americans we have serving in uniform, and the need to support Operation H.O.P.E. and organizations like this, because in the end, this is really what makes the difference.”
