Colonel Oliver North, the host of War Stories with Oliver North, recently returned from Afghanistan.  On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, he was asked if it was a good idea for a president to announce in advance the withdrawal of troops, as President Obama has done regarding Afghanistan.

“He announced how many he was sending.  He did it in a way that never mentioned the word ‘win’ or ‘victory’” North said.

“Now he’s announced the timing of 33,000 to come back out by this time next year.  [It’s] never been a good formula for victory, but then again, victory has never been defined by this commander-in-chief.”

North will be the keynote speaker at Operation H.O.P.E’s Famine banquet this Saturday.  For more information, go online at www.operationhopeusa.org .
