A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck 44 miles northeast of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma last night.  The earthquake hit at 10:53pm and was felt over various parts of Illinois, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.

The earthquake was felt all over the northern parts of Texas, including Lubbock.

The Oklahoman reports the quake as the strongest one to be recorded in the state of Oklahoma. Also, the Associated Press reports there were no injuries reported.

ESPN happened to be conducting a live-shot with Kirk Herbstreit from Stillwater, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma State University as the quake occurred. His facial expression in the video underscored the uneasiness he said he felt as the quake took place.
