Oh Thank Heaven! July 11 Marks Free Slurpee Day

The nation’s largest chain of convenience stores is treating customers today with a free drink today.

7-Eleven will be giving away free 12 ounce Slurpees today on the un-official birthday of the frozen treat. The drinks will be available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating locations in the United States.

The free Slurpee cups will also be bigger for this year with 12 ounce cups used. 7-Eleven in the past has used cups which were 7.11 ounces, but those became problematic with no lids able to fit.

Free Slurpee Day is a great relief from the heat today in Lubbock with the expected high to hit 98 degrees by the mid-afternoon. I suggest the Dr. Pepper flavored Slurpee.
