Newest United Market Street Location to Open Wednesday

The newest United Market Street location will officially open this week.

The ribbon cutting will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 9^th inside the Market Street located at 19^th Street and Quaker Avenue.

The store will be United Supermarkets’ 11^th Market Street location, and the third in Lubbock.

The 71,000 square foot store will be the largest United store in Lubbock, and the second to be open 24 hours a day. The Market Street location at 50^th Street and Indiana Avenue became the first 24 hour location in June of 2012.

The ceremony will also include a check presentation from United and Western Union on behalf of Lemonade Day, an event which teaches children how to start, own, and operate their own business.
