New England Patriots WR Wes Welker to Sign Autographs Tomorrow at Sam’s Club in Lubbock

Former Texas Tech football player Wes Welker will be back in the Hub City tomorrow.  Welker will sign autographs at the new Sam's Club in the Canyon West Shopping Center from 3:30p to 5p. The Sam's Club is located in the 6000 block of the Marsha Sharp Freeway by Main Event.

Welker has spent the past the past 5 seasons with the New England Patriots and he’s currently in the midst of contract negotiations with the Pats.

Welker yesterday talked about the negotiations with WEEI Sports Radio in Boston.

"Right now, i'm just kind of in a wait and see position," Welker said in the interview. "I feel like my body of work over the last five years, it hadn't been any sort of one-hit wonder or anything else. I think it's deserving of a long-term contract. Hopefully we come to that point and make something happen. I think we'll get on the same page. It's just a matter of getting those discussions going and make something happen."

Welker has played in the NFL since 2004 and he has 650 career receptions and 32 career touchdown catches.
