The National Weather Service in Lubbock is holding seminars on storm spotting and safety today.

A seminar on Tornado safety will take place at 12:30 and 3 this afternoon at the Science Spectrum located at 2579 South Loop 289 between Indiana and University Avenue.

A Skywarn storm spotter training session will also take place at the Science Spectrum today from 1:30 to 2:30. Admission is free to both talks.

Skywarn will have training sessions this next week on the South Plains and Texas Panhandle with talks in Aspermont at the Aspermont Community Center on Monday, March 4th at 6:30 p.m. and in Plainview on Thursday, March 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Nunn Business Building on the Wayland Baptist University Campus

Other meetings in March include Floydada on Monday, March 11th at 6 p.m. at Lighthouse Electric and Monday, March 18th in Post at the Garza County Law Enforcement Center.
