Murder-Attempted Suicide Suspected

Lubbock County Sheriffs deputies are continuing their investigation this morning of an overnight shooting that has left one man dead and a woman critically hurt.

Sheriff’s deputies say the shooting happened last night in South Lubbock County at a home near the intersection of Woodrow Road and Indiana Avenue.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home around 10:30pm last night, and found a man dead and a woman suffering from a single gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to UMC where she remains in critical condition.

The names of the people involved in the shooting have not been released but deputies say they are investigating the shooting as a murder-attempted suicide.
