Multiple Fire Crews Respond to Fire in Lubbock Home

According to the Lubbock Fire Department Facebook page, Monday, May 16, around 4 a.m. multiple fire crews were called out to 512 79th St. on reports of a structure fire.

When units arrived on the scene the owner was standing outside the home and a small fire was burning in the front room.

Zero fire damage occurred in the home, however light smoke damage did occur.

It was later assessed that the cause of the fire was accidental misuse of a flammable liquid.

The LFD reported the owner of the home was not displaced.
