A fire at a west Lubbock dealership lands one in the hospital.

A person had just purchased a new Harley Davidson motorcycle from Wild West Harley Davidson, located on Frankford Avenue and 58th Street this afternoon.

The 35-year-old man pulled out onto the street on the brand-new motorcycle, lost control of the bike, jumped the curb across the street at Frank Brown GMC at Frankford Avenue and Spur 327, and crashed into a GMC Yukon and a Lincoln Navigator that were for sale.

A fire quickly erupted, and the motorcycle rider was taken to University Medical Center. The Lubbock Fire Department put out the destroyed vehicles.

He is reportedly in serious condition, but his injuries are not life threatening. More on this story as it develops.
