A few candidates for Lubbock City Council have expressed concern about the influence of money from Political Action Committees and other big-money donations during this election cycle. We’ve heard language used like, “buying votes”, “too much influence”, “special interests over the little guy”, etc. Two candidates in particular have drawn the ire of their opponents the most. Karen Gibson and Jeff Griffith. Both candidates have brought in a lot of money and both are being supported by PAC’s and developers. Does this concern you? Are you worried about the influence of money on local elected officials? Let us know in today’s KFYO Poll of the Day.
