Monday, December 9 is the Candidate Filing Deadline for the 2014 Texas Primary

Today, December 9, is the filing deadline for candidates for the 2014 Texas Primary Election.

Candidates running for an office located within one county have to file with their county party.  Candidates running for a statewide office, or an office located in multiple counties, have to file with the state party.  The 2014 Texas Primary Election is on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

Here is some information that is specific for both the Lubbock County Republican and Lubbock County Democrat parties.

The Lubbock County Republican Party Headquarters is located at 1001 Main street, Suite 208 in Downtown Lubbock. Lubbock County Republican Party Chairman Carl Tepper will be available to accept candidate filings from 10am-6pm.

The Lubbock County Democrat Party Headquarters is located at 2809A 74th Street. Lubbock County Democrat Party Chairman Kenny Ketner will be available to accept candidate filings from 9am-6pm.
