Moment of Silence Observed in Remembrance of Sandy Hook Shooting Victims
Moments of silence were observed locally and nationwide today in remembrance of the Sandy Hook shooting victims. In Newtown, CT, church bells were rung 26 times -- once for each of the teachers and children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School last Friday. President Barack Obama privately observed a moment of silence at The White House.
Texas Governor Rick Perry also declared a moment of silence statewide today for 9:30a. At Texas Tech, the university bells were rung 26 times at 9:30a in honor of the shooting victims.
