Milwaukee Avenue to Close between 94th & 114th Streets for Street Widening

Portions of a street in southwest Lubbock will close for widening.

Milwaukee Avenue between 94^th Street and 106^th Street will close beginning on Monday, February 18^th for the widening of Milwaukee between 94^th and 114^th Streets.

Also, 98^th Street between Huron Avenue to just west of Milwaukee Avenue will be closed for the widening work as well.

The closures are expected to last 8 to 10 months while the roadway is raised and the new concrete pavement is constructed, according to a press release from the City of Lubbock.

Traffic will be able to access the nearby neighborhoods from 114^th Street. Milwaukee Avenue traffic will detour to Frankford Avenue, and 98^th Street traffic will use either 82^nd Street or 114^th Street.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
