Michael Pollan to Begin Texas Tech Lecture Series Friday

Texas Tech’s Lecture and Performance Series will feature a noted author and food activist.

Michael Pollan, author of books such as “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” and “In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto”, will speak this Friday, October 28^th at Texas Tech.

Pollan is the first presenter for the lecture and performance series. He will speak at 7 p.m. at the Allen Theatre in the Texas Tech Student Union Building, located at 18^th Street and Boston Avenue.

Pollan, a professor of journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, has written four bestselling books, and has been named as one of Time Magazine’s top 100 most influential people.
