Michael Bob Starr made his way to Lubbock Wednesday to continue his campaign for the Republican nomination for Texas' 19th Congressional District.

Starr made an appearance at 8:30 a.m. at the People's Bank location at 82nd Street and Milwaukee Avenue. Then, he was slated to be interviewed in-studio by KFYO's Chad Hasty at 9:06 a.m.

However, Starr was unable to make it to the KFYO studios, instead being taken to Covenant Hospital's emergency room to be treated for an unknown ailment.

Keats Norfleet, spokesman for Starr for Congress told KFYO News: "Colonel Starr was experiencing abdominal pain this morning and checked into Covenant hospital. He is undergoing evaluation and will be back on campaign trail as soon as possible.”
