Lubbock ISD Board of Trustee member Melissa Collier has announced she will run for re-election in May.
Collier made the announcement this morning and she is an At-Large Member of the school board. She was first elected to her position in 2010.
“I love Lubbock and want to see the success of all children in this district,” said Collier. “I feel a responsibility to give back to a community and a district that has given so much to me.”
The 37 year-old Collier is a self-employed CPA and in addition to serving on the school board, she’s also a member of the Lubbock ISD Foundation for Excellence Board and acts as Board Secretary for the Children’s Home of Lubbock.
