On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Mel McRee spoke with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the upcoming MS Ride.

McRee and his bicycle team the "Carney Men," will be participating in this year's Bike MS Cactus and Crude Ride, a two-day ride from Midland to Post. In addition to biking, teams also raise funds for the National MS Society. To date, McRee's team has raised over $7,000 in donation. McRee said that the majority of those donations go straight to MS research and to help victims of the disease.

The race will take place this weekend, July 19th and 20th, starting at 7:00 AM. The starting line will be the Apache Corporation in Midland, Texas, and the 2-day race will wrap up in the City Park in Post, TX. Registration for the race is still open, but requires a minimum fundraising amount of $250.
