On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Gary Vaughn, candidate for Justice of the Peace Precinct 4, spoke with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about his campaign.

Vaughn has had a long history of public service, having previously served as a police officer and firefighter, and is currently serving as the director of the Shallowater EMS. He said that as a result of his public service, he is used to making decisions that impact people's lives, and that he can use that experience to help people settle their cases in the JP court.

Vaughn explained that he decided to enter the crowded Justice of the Peace race after several people, including former JP Bob Blackburn, that he would be a good fit for the position. He added that, if elected, he would strive to be fair to everyone, and that he would not let his personal feelings on a case influences his decisions as JP.
