Meet the Candidates for Lubbock City Council: Maurice Stanley [Audio]

Matt Crow, KFYO.com

Wednesday on Lubock’s First News, Tom and Laura finished up their round of meet the candidates for Lubbock City Council District 3 with an interview with Maurice Stanley. Stanley is running against Jeff Griffith and Deanne Clark, both interviewed earlier this week.

Stanley is the owner of Jerry’s Barber Shop. He hopes to work toward gaining back the trust of the public toward the city. He said, “I think one of the big issues in this city is public trust and how we get back to that.” He wants there to be more transparency about taxes. Stanley believes there will always be a need to make budget cuts, along with raising taxes to finance city maintenance and growth. Get more details on the conversation by listening to the interview below.
