Mayor Tom Martin will be meeting with the City Council tomorrow to discuss the issues with the current police station. The council will be conducting a $60,000 study on the condition of the current police building and will include a list of problems with the current building.
Mayor Martin called in and clarified that the study was not just a list of problems. The purpose of the study is to determine the amount of square footage needed to create a new police station, which the voters will be voting on in an upcoming bond election.
Mayor Martin is scheduled to join Chad and Rex live from Reese Golf Center on this Friday’s edition of Lubbock’s First News.
