Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak talked with Chad about the 2016 Presidential Election.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed several different Republican contenders, as well as Hillary Clinton's continuing scandals and controversies.

Asked by Hasty whether recent polls showing national security as a top concern with many voters will affect Rand Paul's standing as a Republican candidate, Mackowiak responded,

He's definitely the most out of step with sort of mainstream Republican thinking on national security and foreign policy. And so that is isolating for him, and I think one of the dynamics you're going to see in the televised debates when they get started in August, is you're going to see a number of candidates go after Rand Paul on foreign policy.

Mackowiak also talked about the approaching end to the current session in the Texas Legislature.
