On Monday's Chad Hasty Show, Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to talk about politics and events in the national news.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the terrorist shooting in Orlando, Florida, as well as Donald Trump's upcoming speech, and the continuing possibility of a third candidate jumping into the race for president.

When asked by Hasty about the possible content of Trump's touted speech, Mackowiak replied, "It's not clear to me that Trump has a policy team, that he has foreign policy advisory council that's engaged, that he listens. It's not clear to me that he has a real speech writing staff. "

Mackowiak continued, saying,

It would be nice if he could give a very serious and very thoughtful speech foreign policy national security speech. What are the threats as he sees them? What do we need to do that we're not doing? How does he view the world? How does he view American interests, and what is the threshold for using the American military?
