Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, political analyst and Washington Times columnist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to talk about the latest in news and politics.

While speaking about the ongoing government shutdown, and what actually matters to U.S. voters, Mackowiak said,

I think at the end of the day, people are going to care about what happens on DACA, what happens on border security. It's the ultimate agreement that's going to matter for the mid terms [elections], not the number of days or which individual senator or congressman they want to blame generally, as long as there's no crisis.

Mackowiak and Hasty also discussed U.S. Senator Ted Cruz's Democrat challenger Robert "Beto" O'Rourke.
