Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss the ongoing transition processes for President Elect Donald J. Trump.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the continued news about many possible appointments during the Trump run-up to the presidency, especially who will be the nominee for Secretary of State.

About speculation on whether or not former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton may be nominated by Trump for the position, Mackowiak said,

I think the question for him would be, 'Would he be able to be confirmed?" And so my sense is that, since you're not hearing his name much in the last week or so, that ultimately that question has been answered in a negative way. I still think he's someone that could be a choice if Romney and Giuliani are not the choice.
