Monday, as always the week begins on The Chad Hasty Show, Matt Mackowiak joined by phone to talk with Chad about current events in the State of Texas as well as the nation.

Among the subjects talked about were the United States Supreme Court's ruling on the Affordable Care Act (health care) and gay marriage. About the gay marriage ruling Mackowiak said,

I don't think this was the right decision from the Supreme Court. They weren't upholding any federal law. They essentially had state laws that were in conflict with other state laws, which really ought to, should have resulted in them leaving it to the states.

Mackowiak also said, referring to the Supreme Court's ruling on the Affordable Care Act,

The pain from 'Obama-Care' is just beginning. The employer mandate hasn't kicked in yet, premiums are double-digits almost everywhere across the country. This is going to keep getting worse.

Another topic discussed was the 2016 election and the most recent entries into the Republican field of candidates, including John Kasich and Cris Christie.
