During Monday's Chad Hasty Show, Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak spoke with Chad about political news in the state of Texas, as well as the presidential campaign of 'Jeb' Bush. Bush today is making his official announcement entering the race for the White House, and Leticia Van de Putte recently lost the runoff election in the San Antonio mayoral race.

On Bush's announcement agenda, Mackowiak talked about the issues Bush will likely make points with conservative voters on, and where he may still have problems. Mackowiak said,

The two, you know, big issues that conservatives have problems with him on are immigration and common core, and it will be interesting to see if he brings those up.

Matt Mackowiak is a co-founder of the bipartisan political news blog Must Read Texas
