Monday on the Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak talked about new information from the Wendy Davis campaign, competition from Greg Abbott, and potential presidential candidates.

Mackowiak observed that another part of Davis's past was revealed regarding her failure to recuse herself from votes that may have benefited her two-person law firm. He said, "She has been consistently voting on matters that directly impact her two-person law firm."  While she may not be the only to have do this, Mackowiak noted it is a difficult situation for her here because she is running for Governor and has accused Abbott of a lack of ethics in the past.

Mackowiak also discussed some of the potential presidential candidates for 2016 as they begin to become more visible in several states. He suggested that if Hillary Clinton doesn't run Democrats will be scrambling for someone else to take her place.
