There are not one, but two, tuna recalls you need to know about.

Bumble Bee has recalled 31,579 cases of its Chunk Light tuna due to "deviations [that] were part of the commercial sterilization process and could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed."

No one has reported becoming ill due to the problem. The cans in question were sent out nationwide.

Coincidentally, Tri-Union Seafoods LLC followed this news a few hours later with its own recall for Chicken of the Sea tuna cans:

This recall has been initiated because the product may have been undercooked due to an equipment malfunction, which was uncovered during a routine inspection. These deviations were part of the commercial sterilization process and could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed.

No one has reported any illness in connection with the tuna in question. The recall affects 2,745 cases (or roughly 107,000 cans). The FDA has a release for each recall if you need more information.
