That was an enthusiastic
Bill Curnow, the chairman of the board of the Lubbock Chapter of the American Red Cross, talking about Red Cross Month during an interview on KFYO’s public service program, This Week in Lubbock.
“It’s an opportunity to re-engage with the community and ask for their continued support in the months and years to come," Curnow said.
The Red Cross is known for, among other things, helping people during disasters, but contrary to what many people believe, it is not part of the U.S. government. So the organization relies on donations.
You can hear the entire interview with Curnow and executive director Shannon Smith at 6 a.m. Sunday on KFYO.
