Man Shot During Tahoka Standoff

A Tahoka man is dead following a standoff with police.

Rodney Moore was shot in the middle of a Tahoka street Sunday afternoon while holding a knife during the standoff.

The 35-year-old Moore was shot at First Street and Avenue N as Tahoka Police, Lynn County Sheriff’s Deputies and Department of Public Safety officers were on the scene.

A Tahoka police officer was the one that shot Moore and has been placed on paid administrative leave during the DPS investigation.
