UPDATE: According to Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer Tiffany Pelt, the suspect in the armed robbery was identified and arrested. Twenty-five-year-old Albert Jones was arrested and charged with the robbery.

ORIGINAL STORY: A man with a rifle confronted an employee inside a Lubbock, Texas CVS store early Thursday morning and demanded cigarettes and money.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, the suspect walked into the CVS located at 3402 Slide Road wielding a rifle around 3:45 a.m. He approached a store employee, asked for cigarettes and demanded money from the cash register with a note, police say. After the employee handed over money, the suspect fled the store.

Police say the suspect (seen in the surveillance photo above) is either Caucasian or a light-skinned Hispanic around 18-20 years old with a cross tattoo under his left eye. He covered his face with a bandanna and wore a hat, along with a gray Texas Tech hooded sweatshirt.
