One person died while in police custody early Sunday morning.

Lubbock Police officers were called to Clovis Highway and Avenue Q around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, June 2nd.

Lubbock Police detectives are conducting an investigation into Gamboa’s death, and say that prior to the arrival of police, Gamboa may have been in the presence of an unknown female who left the scene.

Police are actively searching for the woman, who is described as a “possibly white female wearing a long black dress and carrying a blue purse.”
