Thursday on Lubbock's First News, Albert Hernandez, who has been at Malouf's for 23 years, and John Malouf joined the show to talk about the second annual Malouf's Night Out, the upcoming fashion benefit event.

Malouf's Night Out is an event that will feature Malouf's fashion, offer hors d'oeuvres, and live music by Element. There will also be a silent auction and trunk show. The show will be held at Malouf's in the south Kingsgate Shopping Center on November 8 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The fall and winter collections will be presented. The event will benefit the Texas Tech University Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research.

Malouf noted his business has been open for 64 years, since 1949. Last year, Malouf's was able to donate $7,000 to the Burkhart Center. Malouf, regarding the benefit for Texas Tech and other Lubbock institutions, said, "I believe giving back is a very important responsibility. That's something that is very much up-front in my philosophy."
