Good Earth Recycling is hosting their first-ever community park cleanup this Saturday, August 13th.

All participants can get a service certificate, so this is an excellent opportunity for you or your kids (if you accompany them) to get in any volunteer hours they made need for school, organizations, or you know, whatever...I'm not judging.

Or you can simply volunteer because it will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Good Earth Recycling will provide bags, gloves and bottled water, so all you have to do is show up at 10 a.m. in Mae Simmons Park, at 2004 Oak Ave. They will have a canopied table out so you'll be able to see them.

According to Good Earth Recycling: "We have a lot to clean up, Mae Simmons hasn't had any attention in years as far as cleanups." So put on your sunblock and get out there.

More information is available on their event page.
