Mackowiak - Trade Tariffs Are Part Of Long-Term Strategy

On Monday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Washington Times columnist and political analyst Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss all the latest from Washington and around the world.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed new trade tariffs being implemented by the United States, the G7 Summit, and the upcoming nuclear weapons negotiations with North Korea.

About President Trump's strategy in his recent announcements imposing new tariffs on certain nations and products, Mackowiak said,

I don't think he's doing that as a long-term strategy, I think he's doing that as a tactical short-term strategy, to get better trade deals for the United States, trade deals that are more fair, more reciprocal.
