Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the show to talk about the latest news in politics.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed results from the South Carolina primary election, as well as previewed upcoming primaries and some of the state races on tap in Texas. Mackowiak provided his thoughts on the race for the Republican nomination for President, which has become a contest between Donald Trump as the clear leader, then Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio running neck and neck for second place. Mackowiak said,

I think if it's Rubio versus Trump, or Cruz versus Trump, the non-Trump candidate has the upper hand. But if you have both of those candidates splitting that vote against Trump, so far it's been very beneficial for Trump.
