On Monday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Washington Times columnist and political analyst Matt Mackowiak joined the show to review the most recent political news and events from Washington and Texas.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed President Trump's latest approval ratings, what it all means for the GOP in the upcoming mid-term elections, as well as the move towards 'Democratic Socialism' by possible candidates in the Democrat Party, and the Texas governor's race.

While speaking about Texas politics and the underfunded bid by Lupe Valdez who Democrats have put forward in their hopes to unseat Governor Greg Abbott, Mackowiak said,

She doesn't have enough money to run for congress, probably not even enough money to run for state senate, let alone enough money to run for governor at the top of the tickets for democrats. She's really been just an absolute mess as a candidate.
