Four different volunteer fire departments responded to a house fire in northwest Lynn County this morning. Tahoka, New Home, Woodrow and Wilson VFD's, along with the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, were unable to prevent the destruction of the home as the fire had spread too quickly.

The home in the Lakeview community on FM 211 was engulfed in flames around 8:45am.

KAMC 28 reports that while no one was injured in the fire, a family dog was severely burned.

Investigators believe the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring.
